{"id":245,"date":"2023-12-06T16:31:22","date_gmt":"2023-12-06T21:31:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cala-canada.org\/?p=245"},"modified":"2024-02-01T15:12:46","modified_gmt":"2024-02-01T20:12:46","slug":"2024-annual-cala-canada-meeting-call-for-proposal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cala-canada.org\/index.php\/2023\/12\/06\/2024-annual-cala-canada-meeting-call-for-proposal\/","title":{"rendered":"2024 Annual CALA Canada Meeting \u2013 Call for proposal"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The&nbsp;<strong>Chinese American Librarians Association (CALA) Canada Chapter<\/strong>&nbsp;(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cala-canada.org\/\">https:\/\/www.cala-canada.org\/<\/a>)invites you to submit presentation proposals to its&nbsp;<strong>Annual Conference<\/strong>, to be held virtually on&nbsp;<strong>Monday, February 12, 2024<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The program is open to anyone who is interested, not limited to CALA members.&nbsp;We would like to invite members\/guests to submit their proposals on every aspect of their professional duties, research activities, or community services, etc. The types of sessions include a short 15\u201320 minutes presentation of slides or posters, or a panel discussion on the topics you find most thought-provoking among our colleagues.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Topics of interest may include, but are not limited to:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Equity, diversity, inclusion and accessibility in librarianship<\/li><li>AI applications in librarianship and their impacts on teaching and learning<\/li><li>Information technologies and security<\/li><li>Library instructions, research services, and collection management<\/li><li>Scholarly communication<\/li><li>User experience<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Program details are as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Date:<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong><u>12\u20134 PM (Eastern Time), Monday, February 12, 2024<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Location:<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong><u>Zoom<\/u><\/strong>&nbsp;(link to be shared later)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Submission Deadline:<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong><u>Sunday, January 14, 2024<\/u><\/strong><strong><u><\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Presentations will be limited to 15\u201320 minutes including Q&amp;A.
